  ACTION GUIDE: NOVEMBER 2004

In our Action/Advocacy role, the League is nonpartisan but we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.

* The League is recommending a "YES" vote on Propositions 59 and 72 and a "NO" vote on Proposition 69 in the November 2, 2004 election.

See Yes on 59 -- No on 69 -- Yes on 72 for our detailed analysis for each proposition including description and background, important points, a list of supporters and opponents, resources for more information, and sample letters to the editor.

*Read our flyer for a summary of our recommendations . Consider printing it and giving it to your friends! (Also available in PDF format).

We are neutral on all other propositions meaning that we are not taking a stand either for or against those propositions. We only take positions on issues that we have studied and the membership has reached an agreement on the policies and positions we would support. (For more information...)
