  ACTION GUIDE: NOVEMBER 2005

In our Action/Advocacy role, the League is nonpartisan but we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.

The League is recommending a "YES" vote on Proposition 79 and a "NO" vote on Propositions 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 in the November 8, 2005 election.

*Read our flyer for a summary of our recommendations . Consider printing it and giving it to your friends! (Also available in PDF format).

*See our detailed analysis for each proposition (No on 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78 and Yes on 79) including description and background, summary points, a list of supporters and opponents, resources for more information, and sample letters to the editor.

We are neutral on Proposition 80 (Electric Service Providers. Regulation); that is, we are not taking a stand either for or against that proposition. Current League positions, based on study and member agreement on policies and positions we would support, do not cover the issues in Prop. 80. (For more information on taking positions...)
